Meet the Staff

Welcome to Nursery!
The children have settled into Nursery well and have already been learning through a range of fun activities in our classroom.  We have planned lots of amazing learning experiences and we can’t wait to share them all. The tabs above will keep you updated with everything that is happening in Nursery so make sure to keep coming back and checking it! General information is also on display on our notice board in the entrance to Nursery. Class newsletters will also be uploaded on the 'Class Newsletters' tab.

Here are the staff that work in Nursery! Have a read and find out a little bit more about them!

Miss Doran- Nursery Class Teacher/EYFS Lead

I’m Miss Doran and I am the Nursery teacher. I love working in Nursery, this is my fourth year now! I have also taught Year 1 and Year 2 over the past eight years that I have been at St Philip’s.

I have two cats called Max and Millie; they are 19 years old and my favourite things in the world. In my spare time I like to cook, go for walks and I love going to the theatre. I also love travelling! One of my favourite places I have ever visited is Iceland. I also visit family in Ireland every year. I love spending time with my family and friends who mean everything to me. As well as teaching in Nursery, I also lead History across school.

Miss Nowell- Nursery Nurse

Hi, I’m Miss Nowell, the Nursery Nurse. I have worked at St Philip’s for over 30 years so have had the pleasure of knowing a lot of wonderful children and their families. Things that are most important to me are my family and friends and I love to spend time with them. My favourite country to visit on holiday is America where I like to take lots of photographs to help me cherish special memories. I belong to St Mary’s Parish in Rothwell and attend Mass there each weekend.
