Internet Safety

Online Safety
With the world becoming ever more digital, it is now more important than ever that we all understand the risks and dangers of entering the online world.  It is not just children that are at risk online, but adults can also fall foul to the risks of using the internet.

Over the past few years we have also seen a decrease in children's mental wellbeing relating to social media. We understand that the internet and social media is a huge part of all our lives now and can be very helpful, but we should also be aware of the dangers and how to keep ourselves and our children safe whilst accessing these. Below are some useful links that we hope can help with this.

Thinkuknow - Thinkuknow is the education programme from NCA-CEOP, a UK organisation which protects children both online and offline.                        - Childnet - Get SMART offer easy to digest rules and tips for online use.  There is also a useful section dedicated to parents and carers.
NSPCC - A page targeted towards parents and carers and how to talk to your child about online safety.                                                                                      Safer Internet - Safety tips, advice and resources to help children and young people stay safe online.                                                                                        Internet Matters - Information on setting up parental controls on your devices.
